Description
So whatever the reason, this delightful worm has taken care of my pepper plant stalk - as I was preparing to pick some of the ripened peppers, this delightful creature froze in place to avoid being seen…but I spotted him, or her. Then, in preparing the description, imagine my horror when I read that the beautiful Hummingbird Moth, is the butterfly portion of the life cycle of this creature. Well, perhaps there is some good - the worm is pretty, well, sort of. They are indeed interesting to look at, BUT, they are destructive. So whatever their place in the cycle of the garden’s life cycle, I am now totally accepting that these delightful critters ARE a part of my garden.

Janet, thanks for the help...though this critter was interesting, not enough to have a butterfly moth to eat my plants next year!
