Description
On the leaf of a bell pepper plant something unusual caught my eye…a sliver of movement, like a bit of something moving up and down. I focussed and discovered it was a tiny little butterfly like none that I have seen before. This tiny white butterfly, with black and orange stripes, a giant eye, feather like edges near the blacked lined pattern on the wings, and what appeared to be two antennae at the back of the beautiful black spots with a bit of orange, wing. What an ususual kind of insect this was! The two back “antennae” appear to act as a defense and the two black dots act as an “eye”. Needless, another lesson learned of the beauty of God’s creation

Debra, actually, those back antennae are actually part of the wings...I guess it is one of its defense features. It truly was interesting! Thank you for your comments and the LF!
