Thin barbed legs hold this beautiful Painted Lady on top of a leaf while it sips nectar from a purple flower. Its fuzzy body, bright orange, black and white are bold against the bokeh of the bush behind. Nature is amazing. Maya Angelou pointed out that we delight in the beauty of a butterfly, yet, rarely do we ponder what changes it has gone through to acquire its beauty.
