Description
My husband and I chose to take a visit to the town where we taught school for many years. It was Autumn, and the local Bald Eagle generally was down in the 'valley' for the winter months. Unfortunately, it had flown for the day to hunt for its meal.
We noticed a large cloud rising above the foothill. With the sun shining on the cloud, the sky had a gray tint. I spotted a slight rainbow to the right of the cloud. It was pale and beautiful, quickly disolving in the morning sunlight.
Many mornings, the fog is quite a hindrance to driving, but on this day, just watching it rise from the foothills to the sky, was amazing! The beauty of watching the transition was transforming to my mind and camera.
Such an unusual sight on that Autumn day. The seasons in the foothills below Sequoia National Park can be a stunning sight. We have so much to see between the San Joaquin Valley in Californina, to the high Sequoia Mountains of Sequoia National Park. How lucky can we be?
