Description
A Wildlife preserve near my home sported many animals, birds, BUGS, one day. y husband and I traveled to Los Banos only to find Covid had closed everything. Not to be deterred, we drove around the loop to see what we could see. A large herd of Elk were near so we could see them. Hawks, mosquitos, deer, elk, sheep, Sandhill cranes, and this delightful heron. Elegant and stately, this bird was more than elegant, standing still, watching the world go by. Actually, he was probably looking for a tasty fish in the slough and marsh the preserve had. The bokeh of the background vegetation, adds to the beauty of this long necked bird. All in all, it was a great day!
