Description
Overlooking Sycamore Canyon in Arizona, this pretty Engelmann prickly pear cactus, frames the beauty of the mountains behind. Sycamore Canyon is located to the south of Williams, Arizona. This canyon is the second largest canyon in Arizona, and often referred as the "Little Grand Canyon". The beauty of this canyon is different in that the carved mountains are not quite as deep as that of the Grand Canyon, yet, stunning in its view.

The Engelmann prickly pear cactus is a prevalent cactus in Arizona. A favorite of mine due to the gorgeous rose-like flowers it produces. Promoting in Beauty Of Arizona discussion thread NATIVE Plants of ARIZONA. Sycamore Canyon is the 2nd largest canyon in Arizona's Red Rock County, as Oak Creek Canyon is larger. The beauty of Arizona is so diverse, with so much to see. LF

Love the textural juxtaposition of the spiny cactus in front of the chiseled mountains in the background, Debby - great photo job - L/F!
