Description
Winslow, Arizona, Route 66, boasts of many things - one called La Posada Hotel, one of the last Harvey Houses. This wonderful building, once vacation rooms to the famous and infamous, still rents rooms to anyone wishing to stay at this iconic hotel. Now it boasts of relics of the ones who stayed at this place and owners, a fantastic restaurant, and museum, all rolled into one. This weathered, arched doorway, complete with its iron hinges, leads from the outer garden area, through an adobe wall, to an inner peaceful garden. It is late Spring now. Shadows from its trellis and tall Cottonwood trees begin to elongate as the sun begins its afternoon journey to the West.

Wonderful image, and I enjoyed the backstory. Makes me want to hit the road and re-visit Winslow again! l/f
