Description

The afternoon sun shimmered on this turkey's feathers at Lopez Lake, a recreational area in San Luis Obispo County in Central California. This lake is known for numerous turkeys that roam about the park entrance. I chased two turkeys up a steep incline - not realizoing how steep it was for a grandma. SO.....after falling flat on my face in the dirt several times, and finally doing a total full body roll on the road once I reached the top of the hill...no worse for the wear. But I had my wild turkey pictures!!!
