Description
Framed by a prickly pear cactus and a huge rock formation on the rim of Sycamore Canyon, you can see the Autumn Cottonwood trees, which line the ancient river bed that traveresses the floor of this second “Grand Canyon”. Grasses and trees line this beautiful place. Rock formations of all shapes and sizes show how once this massive canyon was carved out by wind, rain, and ancient ice plates millions of years ago. Now, we are left with a magnificent canyon…simple beauty.
Unfortunately, the river runs no more…civilization has encroached on the waters, diverting them to the people of the cities.
