Our amazing church has so many beautiful items...crosses on pews, glorious stained glass windows, a magnificent centurian organ, and many Saints to help us remember their sacrifices as they journeyed on their spiritual journeys..
This reddish brown pew, with pew cross, is in the balcony of our nativity fashioned church. These pews used to have hat hooks for the men to remember that in buildings, it is proper to remove one's hat. Kneelers used to be there for the prayerful. (Downstairs, there are paddded kneelers on the pews-a luxury for some churches, as several in our area do not have them...only the floor). Though the floor is not the most comfortable to kneel and pray, it is still a joy to give thanks to my God, who is my love!
