Hummingbirds are a passion of mine. I find the creativity of God in them…how they move, how they survive battle, how they just survive! They are amazing creatures. They are fearless! I find the light from the early morning sunlight shining through this hummer’s wings, much like God. His light shines through us…not just our wings, but our lives. He is with us in battle, in trials. He never leaves! This hummingbird has been in battle. If you look closely to his chest, you will see wounds which have healed over. This is from battle. Hummingbirds will fight to the death to defend their territories - where they have their food sources. I would like to believe I would fight to the death to proclaim Christ. This would be my wish, my desire. I have many battle scars throughout my life to prove that I have fought the good fight. But I have never had to fight that final fight. I pray my life will shine for Jesus at that final battle.
