Description
Located on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in Arizona, the Desert View Watchtower, also known as the Indian Watchtower is a 70 foot stone tower, designed by Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter will give a spectacular view of the Canyon to any visitor. Her design sprung from Anasazi circular buildings in the andient Kivas and circular buildings.

This is one of my favorite places on the south rim. There is a beauty in overcast skies often overlooked. To me, it sometimes makes a photo more interesting because it says something's changing. . . :). l/f
