Tioga Pass, a marvelous destination which I had never visited until this day. This high pass of Yosemite National Forest is closed for the winter due to very high levels of snow and impassible stretches of road.
We had arranged to take our daughter and grandchildren extra supplies for their 49 mile High Yosemite Trail backpacking trip. Once their packs were replenished, they went on to their next campsite above 9000 feet, and my husband and I went to see beautiful Tuolumne Meadows. Amazing beauty even in the middle of summer. What an exciting venture we had om this wonderful panoramic view of the meadows, colorful vegetation, tall pines, and majestic mountain ranges. Puffy clouds formed over the mountains signifying the possibility of rain. The blue sky, high above the valley floor, told us how the smog in the valley of the Central Valley, clouded our vision of God's beautiful sky, unpolluted by smog. How wonderful to see the sky without the pollution of smog.
