Description
Located at 660 California Street in San Francisco, California, Old Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, is a beautiful old church, dwarfed by the massive skyscrapers in the City Built on Seven Hills. This Roman Catholic Church was built in 1854 in the Gothic Revival Style, became Designated San Francisco Landmark on April 11, 1968. Originally it was the tallest building in San Francisco. Paulist Fathers have served Old Saint Mary's since 1901.
Much history surrounds this beautiful Parish church...earthquakes, fires, fantastic history too much to write here, but go to Google and find the stories surrounding this wonderful building.
