San Joaquin Valley eastern foothills yield the most beautiful lupines and fiddlenecks along the winding roads as they crawl around the rolling hills leading to the great Sequoia Mountains. Color abounds with the scrub oaks leafing, wildflowers in bloom, and the blue skies. Passing clouds float about.
