Description
Out on a hiking journey in the Fall with my husband, I noticed a funnel looking web built into the dirt next to the pathway. I didn't see any inhabitant, so gently, I tossed a small twig into the web. In a flash, this spider jumped out to see what was for dinner. We stared at each other for a moment, until I was assured he was not going to attack me, so my camera began clicking. It was a very natural and incredible encounter...just that their eyes are really really big!
