Beautiful sculpture! Jesus's figure is clearly influenced by Michaelangelo's Pieta (in Vatican)

Yvonne, this sculpture is one of all of the Stations of the Coss in a garden near our church in a Retreat House. Each statue is absolutely beautiful - in a setting outside under the pine trees by the granite rocks. The birds chirp....you could ask for nothing better by which to meditate. You are totally correct...the figure of Jesus truly IS influenced by the Vatican Pieta by Michelangelo...a piece that will never leave you the same once you have seen it! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your beautiful remarks!
