Description
This statue is located at St. Anthony's Retreat in Three Rivers. It is part of the stations of the cross, depicted by wonderful large statues-this is the Arrest of Jesus.
Interestingly, this statue is located on the west side of the path of the Stations of the Cross. At dusk, the shadows of the statue itself, the shadows of the trees above, give an ominous and sad portrayal of the Arrest of Jesus.
During Lent, each week, we, as a congregattion, walk among these statues, praying the Stations of the Cross, remembering and reflecting what Jesus sacrificed for the human race...salvation for all.
