Sometimes things happen in our lives that challenge us. The classic child's book, "The Little Engine That Could" written by Loren Long, faced an impossible challenge.
He came across a trian which had broken down on the mountain, filled with food and toys for the children on the other side of the mountains! After many bigger and stronger Engines passed by and refused to help, the Little Engine that Could had a decision to make. He did not have the confidence to pull the heavy load. So the toys BEGGED the Little Engine that it could pull the train load over the mountain to deliver the food and toys.
Relunctant at first, the Little Engine was fearful. But with the encouragement of the toys, he bagan to believe he could make it...he tried and tried - nearly failing. He made it over and delivered the food and toys to the children on the other side of the mountain!
This Yellow Rumped should not be able to fly and drink from the hummngbird feeder, yet no one told he couldn't do it! So...if you do not have negativity telling you cannot perform a task, ignor those words, and JUST DO IT!

Oh Janet, you almost made me cry this morning! The story 'THe Little Engine That Could' was my most favorite of all....mom read it to me all the time because it was so awesome! I have another photo of one finch that I want to put I think I can....To see these birds fly up to the feeders is a marvel to me. It is true that many birds DO this...actually, yesterday I watched a mockingbird try it....failed miserably! LOL....thought it was sort of funny. Thank you again for all of your precious comments and the LvFv!
