Description
Mule Deer can hide in plain sight. This family was resting in the tall grasses near the running stream, resting in the fog that was all enveloping...that lifted on occasion. The sun would break through for a moment, then it would be covered with the high fog once again. This one stood and just stared. It was a pleasant sight to be able to just snap away at such a lovely sight...with the gnarly oak trees, not yet in leaf yet, the wild flowers, still scant, and the green hills barely visible in the background due to the fog. Such a beautiful sight for those living in rural areas of the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.

Thank you Janet for the beautiful and thoughtful comments. It was very odd, because I thought I was being watched...and I was! I stopped, looked around and began snapping the photos of these beautiful creatures. It was so interesting. What I discovered shortly after, was a doe who was down on the grass giving birth to a fawn. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until I had come home and review my photos...how I would have loved to have stayed and watched! THank you for the LvFv and FB!

Beautiful nature photography Debby. I love the peace and serenity that you have captured here. Wonderful title. When I see them standing with such elegance, I wonder how someone can shoot them. Thank you for sharing the beauty. LvFv Janet 💕
