Description
On the run, with me close close behind, Tom stopped to check where I was in proximity to him. Deciding I was a safe distance away, he paused to rest for a moment. He ate some bugs from the grass, squawked at me, but nontheless, I was relentless.
However, I noticed how beautiful he really is....those golden and orange feathers with a touch of blue, each in a sheered straighit line. Each feather is patterned exactly as it aligned for protection in the wild so as not to be seen.
Then his head - a striking sky blue neck, against the crimson head and gobble. The red nodules all over him are beautiful as well as those prickly hairs all about his head. At times he even reminds one of a Cobra ready to strike. Ones imagination can go wild at times. Truly, turkeys are incrediblely interesting birds!
But then, Tom is a permanent resident, so I know he will be there each time I return! So after choir practice, we had another round of several times around the building, peek a boo around the gate. and then a dash to the finish....Tom won, and I imagine, he went back to rest by the building doors, for the night, for a quiet and safe sleep.

Thank you Carol! He lives at the church and becomes quite irritated at me trying to follow him, but where we attend church, there are plenty of turkeys that roam the area! Truly it is a TON of fun! Thank you
