Description
Docked on the pier, is a decommissioned submarine SS Pampanito (SS-383) guarded by Jeremiah O'Obien. Visitors are able to go through this submarine and see what it was like to be on a a submarine during WWII. Draped in colors with a broom proudly standing high above the tower, this is a tribute to the men who served in these vessels - true heros.

Great image of one of our WWll Boats. The history of USS Pampanito and her sisters will never cease to amaze those who learn about them and the men who went to war in them.

Debby, what a magnificent piece of history and awesome tribute to our Veterans and soldiers who have served and are serving. God bless this image, and God bless America. F/L

Brian, thank you for the extremely kind remarks. I was so touched by this entire display on the dock at San Francisco...then with the names of those whom we have lost at sea in submarines...it was truly a time of reflection and prayer. Thank you again, and God bless America!
