Description
Another treat after choir practice! Oh what a blessing to see this bear! She was NOT happy. She was VERY aggressive. Her hackels were up! We stayed away. Speculation - she is pregnant and looking for food before hybernation, Acorns are scattered on the ground and that is what she is foraging to eat. She is fatter than the others, but I feel sorry for anyone who comes between her and her cubs!

Robert, actually, she was more hungry and curious as to what I had for her to eat. Wasn't happy that I was bothering her hunt! Decided to leave before anything happened! Thank you for the comments and the v/f/t

My granddaugher asks, "How does she get such scary animal pictures?"
Debby Pueschel replied:
Ellen, I will share and tell your granddaughter where I took these bear photos. Not too far from our home, toward the Sequoia Mountains, is a small community. It is in the foothills. This summer there were massive forest fires and the bear and deer were forced to find food and water. So many of them came down to civilization to find that food and water. Each week I would go up and find where they were for the day, which wasn't difficult since they were all over the small community, and take their pictures. Though they are wild, they truly are more afraid of us than we are of them...HOWEVER, I respected them and gave them their space...but we could get very close to them.
