Description
*This photo has been donated to a group for fundraising for those who have been addicted to substance abuse that they will be able to reach families who have been touched by the addicted person.
The "southern" bald eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus leucocephalus, is found in the Gulf States from Texas and Baja California across to South Carolina and Florida, south of 40 degrees north latitude.
High in the tree, this magnificent bird will always hold a special place in my heart as I drove to school each day in the winter. He would sit in the tree overlooking the town guarding the children and families of our little area during the winter months!
